William Cocks' A Tutor for the Northumberland Half-Long Bagpipes
The cover from Cocks' Tutor
Wm. Cocks was a master clock maker who had interest in Northumbrian pipes. His collection was published in 1925. Many of the settings included in this collection are not found in other collections included on our site. Unlike the settings for the Highland pipes, the settings presented here are devoid of embellishments, and pipers may need to improvise as needed to adapt these settings. |
We want to thank Iain MacHarg of Vermont for making his personal copy of this tune book available to us for creating the CD version of this collection. We really appreciate his support. |
